that high optical zoom digital camera should I buy? pros and cons please?
I'm looking for something with a minimum of 10x optical zoom and 7MP. would use for landscape, macro, and various art projects. I do not want to pay over 660 USD (USD) or U.S. $ 800 I have looked: Olympus SP 550, 510 Fujifilm FinePix S5700, S9600 Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS, Z710, Sony P712 Canon PowerShot TX1 CZ DSCH5B, DSCH5S Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8, DMC-FZ50, DMC-TZ3 of brands available only at me in Australia are Canon, Fujifilm, Kodak, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic (Lumix), Pentax, Ricoh, Sony, Vivitar. Note: I also have Kodak EasyShare software on my computer.
Fuji S9600. Start broader than most of the camera from your list (starting at 28 mm – most of the other camera on your list to top 35-38mm) making it more useful for landscape shots and Fuji has a photo sensor ideal for low light. The main drawback is that it has image stabilization that can be useful to minimize Shake long zoom lens. Or the Panasonic TZ3. It also starts wider (28 mm) and not go as long as the Fuji. The Fuji has a 28-300mm lens, while the Panasonic has a 28-280mm lens. And it has image stabilization. But Panasonic is known to have a very "noisy" sensor – lots of spots on your photos, if you shoot at high ISO – not good in low light or indoors. And it has a viewfinder. You must use the LCD screen.
