please help with settings on my camera?
im trying to set my camera to take the best possible pictures. i will be editing these photos also (like smoothing the face, stuff like that)
sharpness – should it be on +2 , +1 , 0 , -1 , -2
p. quality – fine or standard
image size – 1600×1200 , 1600(3:2) , 1280×960 , 640×480
focus – 7.0m , 3.0m , 1.0m, .5m , center AF , Multi AF , or it has a symbol like an 8 on its side.
EV – -2.0EV through +2.0 EV
and if it helps i have a sony digital still camera – cd mavica – mvc-cd250

You camera is almost museum-worthy.
For a Sony, I’d put the sharpness up to +1, the quality at its highest since cd’s are so cheap, focus at center AF, EV at 0 most of the time unless you want to underexpose things or overexpose things purposefully.
The 8 on its side is infinity… it focuses the lens to its furthest focal point. If you were taking pictures of far off landscapes or the sky or something, that’s what you’d use that for.
Its really time to upgrade… That camera was obsolete when it was released for retail sale.
